Why family law?

My story is why I fight for yours.

My biological father left when I was very young, and for a long time, my family relied on public assistance to get by. I vividly remember attending school in the New York public school system, often keeping my coat on in class because the rooms were so cold. During the summers, we depended on a city program that provided free lunches at public schools, which helped ensure we had enough to eat. My neighborhood wasn't always the safest, so I tended to stay close to home.

I'm incredibly grateful for my stepfather, the man who adopted me when I was an adult. He raised me to believe in my potential and always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. His words still resonate with me today, and I can't help but smile at how seriously I took his advice.

One of my fondest childhood memories is unwrapping McDonald's Happy Meal toys during the holidays. Despite the challenges, my parents always made sure there was something special for me under the tree. With any money I received from relatives, I would buy Happy Meals for my dad and me — turning it into our tradition, along with watching movies together.

Even as a child, I was determined to save up any extra money I had for the latest fashion, driven by a desire to express myself. My journey has led me to a life of abundance, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my experiences through posts about fashion, lifestyle, and travel.

Why social media?

Redefining what a lawyer looks like.

As a family-law attorney, my presence on social media allows me to connect with others in a meaningful way that reflects my journey and values. Rooted in my faith as a Christian woman, I draw inspiration from my upbringing in the Bronx and my experience as a first-generation American, the daughter of an Ecuadorian immigrant mother who started with humble beginnings.

Through social media, I aim to empower youth and demonstrate that the traditional image of a lawyer can be redefined. God created me to break the mold, and I embrace this calling by showcasing my authentic self. My story is a testament to resilience, faith, and the power of embracing heritage and individuality.

Social media is a platform where I celebrate my journey, inspire others, and highlight that success and professional excellence can coexist with personal values and a vibrant, authentic, multifaceted life. I often draw inspiration from media to connect with families. For instance, the movie Inside Out emphasizes the importance of core memories and how children process events through emotions — a theme reflected in my approach to family law, focusing on creating positive core memories for children.
